Service for Japanese visitors
Information for Japanese visitors
For the Japanese Inhabitans in the region Amstelland there are special facilities.
Ziekenhuis Amstelland (Amstelland Hospital) in Amstelveen provides medical assistance for the inhabitants in the Amstelveen area and surroundings, Amsterdam included. But also Japanese expatriates from other areas of Holland are welcome to our service.
As an extra service to Japanese expatriates and their family in the Netherlands to make an appointment, we opened a special phone number: (0251) 263313.
When you dial this number, an intake will take place (name, address, insurance data etc.) and one of our staff members will then call you back to make an appointment.
The number (at telephone cost) is 24 hours open with an English-speaking operator. The operator takes care of the intake only, is not there to give medical advice, but to make it possible to arrange an appointment. Medical advice can and will only be given by authorised medical staff members of our hospital.
In all circumstances we recommend you to be registered to a home doctor/general practitioner of your choice and only call the Amstelland Hospital number, if hospital care is needed and a medical specialist is necessary.
